Located on a busy university campus, CommBank required the upgrade of physical security in the form of an internal intruder-resistant concertina door to better facilitate security of cash handling during branch trading hours. Given that the project scope included site welding and heavy lifting, the university required substantial preliminary consultation and pre-‐planning in order to ensure the works were completed without damage to the property, impacting the branch’s trade, or compromising the safety of the students and staff.
Modus made multiple site visits at the feasibility stage to ensure all components were designed optimally, reviewed and approved prior to fabrication. At the same time, the Project Management team meticulously sequenced the order of works to ensure timely completion of the operation.
Modus worked closely with University Facilities Managers during the initial stages to ensure all requirements were met and that there was no risk to the public or students. All hazards and risks were carefully assessed, and measures taken to guarantee these were either eliminated or satisfactorily manageable. The project was completed incident-free with Modus delivering a fine security upgrade for the client.
