ELECTRICIAN

At Modus Projects we provide Project Management, Construction, Fit-out and Facility Services to some of Australia’s leading brands, including major banks, government departments and petroleum sites.

Due to significant growth we are currently seeking an experienced Electrician based in Newcastle or the Central Coast. You will be moving from site to site throughout the week performing a variety of electrical works in a fast-paced environment in some of Australia’s most respected and prominent retail, banking and petroleum sites.

This position would suit someone who can work autonomously but also enjoys being part of a team.

REsponsibilities

  • General maintenance and repairs to electrical systems
  • Test for, locate and repair electrical malfunctions
  • Install electrical and electronic control systems
  • Assemble electrical and electronic components and appliances
  • Connect electrical equipment to power supplies
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks
  • Install insulated cables and connect switches, outlets and other fittings; connect circuit breakers, transformers, motors, heaters and other electrical equipment
  • Remove and replace light tubes and globes
  • Provide completed paperwork weekly, including signed work orders, purchase orders and risk assessments, meeting company deadlines and policies/procedures

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ Experience in general Electrical work on small and large scale commercial and retail facilities.
  • Trade Certificate in Electrical or equivalent
  • Driver’s Licence
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Working at Heights
  • Elevated Work Platform (Under 11 metres)
  • LVR/CPR
  • Strong, effective communication skills (written & verbal)
  • High level of attention to detail
